1) Can you tell us a little bit about you and your limo company? What is your business background/history?
Established for 12 years, Tic Tac Tours & Premier Limousines is a family owned & run business. Owners are Paul & Cathy Erskine, who when combined have over 50 years experience in the customer service industry, this experience enables us to provide the best care for every client. Paul does most of the driving while Cathy manages the office and bookings. Our chauffeurs are handpicked and coached to provide our clients with the highest level of quality, courteous and reliable service that has become synonymous with the Tic Tac Tours & Premier Limousines Business.
2) What type of charted transport services do you provide and in what area do you operate?
We have a fleet of modern sedans, people movers & mini coaches, plus classic, vintage and modern stretched limousine wedding cars. We provide airport & cruise ship transfers for both corporate and families, coach transfers & charters, both local & long distance. We specialize in Weddings & Formals and have won the ABIA (Australian Bridal Industry Academy) award for best Wedding Transport Provider in QLD for the last 3 years, and we are in the top 11 wedding transport providers nationally as voted by ABIA past brides We operate in Brisbane, Sunshine & Gold Coast, and west to Chinchilla and in Northern NSW
3) Who is your average customer, and what are your most popular hire/transport services they request/need?
I don’t think any customer is average as they all deserve the same high level of service, our most regular customer would be the corporate client who is after a reliable chauffeured service at a reasonable price. Our most popular requests would have to be for our Wedding cars and Wedding coach services
4) In Limo Hire it’s all about the Limo Experience! Can you describe your vehicle/vehicles?
Our fleet of modern sedans & stretches are meticulously maintained, are mostly Silver in colour & include a luxury Lexus LS430 & Statesman sedan & modern Fairlane stretches Our Classic 1967 Daimler “Miss Daisy” is a real beauty and attracts attention whenever she is seen at Weddings & Formals. Miss Daisy is a Stretched Classic Limousine able to seat 6 passengers + chauffeur and was originally the QLD Governor’s car, the Queen & Kylie Minogue have ridden in this car. The 1929 Vintage Graham Paige Limousine seats 10 passengers and is the only one of its kind in Australia. This car has been lovingly restored to its original beauty and is a real eye catcher at weddings & Formals
Are there any special challenges any limo hire company faces? How do you see the future of the industry? The challenges faced mostly relate to customer satisfaction and repeat business, I guess it is the same as most small businesses we have to get it right the first time for the customer to want to use our services again.
5) How important is your staff in your organization? What are the quality standards you require when recruiting drivers?
Staff are the fore front of our business, whether it is the reception staff or our chauffeurs, they are vital to our operation. All our drivers are hand picked and are well presented, courteous, always on time and keep vehicles clean & presentable at all times. They also comply to all the state security & background checks
6) What is one of the biggest misconceptions of the limo industry?
Most people tend to assume that a limo is a stretched vehicle, but it can also be a sedan, MPV, or coach. Also I think people are unaware of how much goes on behind the scenes to ensure that everything runs perfectly and our cars run on time.
7) What do consumers need to know and ask before engaging a limo hire company?
The type of vehicle to be supplied, stretched or sedan, bus or people mover. They need to know total cost up front including all tolls etc as a lot of companies do not state the total figure. If it is for a special event, they need to do a bit of research & check the relevant industry web sites ie ABIA for weddings to check the ratings from past users
8.) What defines an excellent limousine company? What are the most important standards to keep in this industry?
One that provides an on time pickup service with well presented Chauffeurs & vehicles. Chauffeurs must be courteous and willing to do that little bit extra to make the passengers trip a memorable event
9) A limo experience is for sure a special occasion for many of us, do you have any fond memory of how your services made someone’s day simply amazing?
It is always good to receive positive feedback from a satisfied customer, probably more so when it is from Bride or a Formal student. You know that you have helped to make a very important day in that person’s life even more memorable with the exceptional service that we provided, and a hug from a bride on her Wedding day is reward enough
